Valor's Voice captured Mr. Loyd's story in April of '26. He'll be recognized at the museum on our upcoming trip. He served in the Army and was heading to the Pacific Theater to be part of the invasion of Japan which didn't happen obviously. He'll turn 100 on June 26th. On June 29th he and his wife Louise will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary. We have 3 students and an Iraq Army veteran that will be attending to help Mr. Ivey with whatever he needs on the trip. While at the museum he'll attend a concert where he'll be recognzied for his service. We have a few surprises for him for his birthday as well. And don't be surprised if he doesn't return the favor and entertain us with his harmonica and dance moves. Check out our Social Media to see his journey.

Valor's Voice had the honor or capturing Mr. Garon's story in the summer of '25. He's a Pacific theater veteran with a very unique story that we'll share in 2026. Honestly, we couldn't believe he was North of 100 years old and in the great shape he was in. (Not to mention that great head of hair) He's missed the last two trips, but we're hoping the 3rd times the charm. Donate below to help the cost of the trip.

Valor's Voice tries to pair volunteers that are soldiers from current conflicts with soldiers like Mr. Ivey. So this trip Brad Jumper, an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan and his son Brayden (pictured) will be joining us to help Mr. Ivey with anything he needs. Along with them will be Grace Oldham, a college student at the University of Alabama and December Williams, a recent high school graduate.
For 8 months I've worn the same shirt to church every Sunday. That stemmed from a staff member telling me I'd worn the same shirt back to back weeks during our staff meeting. Thus, my commitment thereafter. The people would like a voice on whether or not that continues. So if you attend Lifepoint church, or if you'd just like to have some fun and raise money for a great cause, donate and vote. Enter an amount in "Other Amount" and leave a message that you want to Retain or Retire the shirt. Largest side wins and determines if we burn the shirt or wear it forever!

Help us fulfill the promise to never forget! This Memorial Day do something tangible to REMEMBER those we've lost. Scroll to the bottom to donate here or send us a donation via mail.
